CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Dec 20, 2012) - Today, TransUnion announced that Mariah Vitoria from Hilmar, CA has won its Season for Saving Facebook Video Contest and $10,000 in cash to help her begin her 2013 off on the right financial footing.
The contest, launched November 12 on the TransUnion Facebook page, centered on the importance of budgeting and money management during the holiday season. The TransUnion Facebook page also provided credit tips to all who visited and voted for their favorite entrant. Nearly 4,000 individuals participated and together cast a grand total of 3,876 votes.
To enter the contest, entrants uploaded a creative video submission explaining how they save money during the holiday season to the TransUnion Facebook page from November 12-30. TransUnion then selected 10 finalists, who each asked their friends and family to cheer them on by logging into TransUnion's Facebook page to vote for them by Noon (EST) on December 7.

By earning 1,103 votes, Mariah Vitoria received the grand prize of $10,000 in cash. A $500 cash prize was awarded to second place winner Lucretia Smith of Wichita, KS who received 787 votes and a $250 cash prize to third place winner Daniel Lamoureux of Thornton, IL who received 725 votes. The top three finalists each received a year subscription to TransUnion products.
